Revolutionizing Content Creation: HONOR 400 Series Debuts AI-Powered Image-to-Video Tech

HONOR is setting a new benchmark in smartphone imaging with the upcoming launch of its HONOR 400 Series in Malaysia on 22 May 2025. Even before its official debut, the buzz surrounding the series has been palpable, particularly due to its revolutionary AI-powered photo and video capabilities. Central to the excitement is HONOR’s newly introduced AI Image to Video feature, developed in collaboration with Google Cloud AI, which allows users to effortlessly convert still images into engaging short videos.

This innovation represents a major leap forward in how users can relive and repurpose their photos. Whether it’s old family pictures, scenic shots, digital artwork, or comic strips, this tool can bring them to life as animated five-second videos—no third-party apps needed. Designed to make creativity seamless and accessible, it empowers users to transform personal memories into dynamic visual stories that can be easily shared across social platforms.

Supporting this is a flagship-level camera system tailored for both casual and professional mobile photography. The HONOR 400 Series features a powerful 200MP main camera with a 1/1.4-inch super sensor, significantly upgraded from the previous generation. The imaging setup is further enhanced with OIS and EIS, ensuring sharp, stable shots even in low light. While both models include a 12MP wide and macro camera, only the HONOR 400 Pro is equipped with a 50MP AI telephoto lens capable of up to 50x digital zoom. Selfie lovers can also look forward to a 50MP Portrait Selfie Camera, delivering studio-like results straight from the phone.

Beyond the hardware, what truly distinguishes the HONOR 400 Series is its suite of Next-Gen AI Imaging tools. The AI Eraser 2.0 refines photos by removing unwanted people, glare, or background clutter with incredible accuracy. AI Cutout gives users creative control to extract and reposition subjects with background editing options like solid colors, transparency, or new settings. Meanwhile, AI Outpainting intelligently extends photo edges, making it perfect for scenic shots and social media banners.

Another notable tool is AI Upscale, which breathes new life into low-resolution or blurry images by enhancing details with a single tap. For dynamic storytelling, users can create animated montages using the Moving Photo Collage feature, combining several Live Photos into lively clips complete with sound, filters, and timing options.

Rounding out the package is Harcourt Studio 2.0, which replicates cinematic portrait effects. With intelligent depth simulation and artistic filters such as Harcourt Classic and Harcourt Colour, this tool brings a professional polish to every shot.

To highlight the emotional impact of AI Image to Video, HONOR recently released two heartfelt Mother’s Day tributes. One video showed a woman reviving a childhood photo of her late mother, who passed away in a house fire. The animation brought her mother’s smile and expressions back to life, creating an unforgettable digital memory. In another story, a grieving girl found comfort when her father animated an old photo of her and her grandmother, once again making her presence felt through a moving image.

These real-life stories exemplify how the HONOR 400 Series isn’t just about cutting-edge technology—it’s about transforming how we connect with our memories.

The official launch will be livestreamed on 22 May 2025 at 3PM via HONOR Malaysia’s Facebook page. For more information, visit www.honor.com/my.
