EVENT AT LIMKOKWING UNIVERSITY’S Y36 5G SEMPORNA GREEN HIGHLIGHTS PARTNERSHIP WITH TOURISM MALAYSIA
On August 24, 2023, vivo Malaysia held the fascinating vivo Y36 X Tourism Malaysia X Limkokwing University Campus Event, ushering in a new and exciting chapter in creativity and innovation at Limkokwing University.
Named after the Semporna Island, Sabah, a jewel in Malaysia’s crown of tourist destinations, the event served to promote the vibrant partnership between vivo Y36 5G Semporna Green and Tourism Malaysia.
Adding to the excitement, vivo Malaysia teamed up with Singapore’s top tea brand, LiHO, to introduce the delicious Semporna Avocado drink. This blend of cultures and flavours led to the final event, the Y36 5G Semporna X Limkokwing University workshop.
The event at Limkokwing University drew around 100 participants, including Limkokwing students and media. The event began with an inspiring speech by the Advertising and Digital Director of Tourism Malaysia, Mohd Roslan Abdullah. He expressed strong support for the collaboration between Tourism Malaysia and vivo, believing it’s a great chance for Y36 users to explore Malaysia’s scenic beauty.
He also expressed strong commendation for this workshop event, “Your dedication to fostering creativity and embracing the beauty of Semporna is truly commendable. It unveils a remarkable opportunity bound to enrich your passion for photography and your sense of wanderlust” says Roslan Abdullah.
Continuing the narrative, Haslinda Hassan, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Limkokwing University highlighted the honour of institution’s in joint with this event collaboration. Raymond Teoh, brand manager for vivo Malaysia, reaffirmed the company’s commitment and happiness over this relationship and expressed the hope that it would continue in the upcoming smartphone series.
The event came alive with a dynamic graffiti session, allowing students to paint canvas bags and manifest their creativity. One of the event highlights was the compelling account of transformation shared by the invited photographer, Yusuf Madi. who shared his journey from an engineer to a visual storyteller using a vivo X90. His story inspired attendees to embark on their own creative journeys.
Aligned with vivo’s core philosophy-joy of humanity, the vivo Y36 5G Semporna X Limkokwing University event exemplified the harmonious convergence of technology, art and human spirit. It was a celebration of innovation, creativity and the capacity to capture joy through the lens of a smartphone.
