The Return of Premier Modest Fashion: Discover How the Golden Age of Peranakan Inspires IFF’s 20th Anniversary Showcase.

Acclaimed across international shores, the Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) is preparing to host its landmark 49th edition in Kuala Lumpur from 21 to 23 November 2026, officially commemorating its significant 20th anniversary milestone. Founder and Chairman YBM Tengku Sri Kelana D’Raja, Adjunct Professor Dato’ Sri Raja Rezza Shah highlighted that the ‘Peranakan’ motif was chosen for this special occasion because it mirrors IFF’s own core mission of promoting racial and cultural harmony. Over the past twenty years, the festival has traversed four continents, bringing modest couture to audiences in Asia, Europe, America, and Africa.

While planned showcases in Western regions remain on hold due to ongoing global tensions, organizers are eagerly looking forward to embarking on an eastward tour next year. Co-presented alongside Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, the three-day celebration features multiple daily sessions at 11:30 AM, 3:00 PM, and 8:00 PM. These events proudly partner with various non-governmental organizations and welfare bodies, including Puspanita Cawangan KDN, Yayasan Metamorphosis, Masjid Ibadur Rasheed, and Yayasan Tuanku Syed Putra Perlis.

As it steps into its twenty-first year, IFF remains deeply dedicated to functioning as an inspirational platform that honors creativity, elegance, and multiculturalism. The festival continually demonstrates that apparel goes beyond mere superficial style, serving instead as a powerful medium for safeguarding and celebrating treasured cultural roots and identities.
