A SIGNING CEREMONY FOR A STRATEGIC COLLABORATION BETWEEN D-NEXUS HOLIDAYS, KIRIM BERSATU, AND BATIK AIR FOR THE KUALA LUMPUR-JEDDAH-KUALA LUMPUR SECTOR
At Dewan Sri Utama 2 at the Complex Kuala Lumpur Craft, on 15 june 2023 the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony of strategic collaboration between D-Nexus Holidays, Kirim Bersatu & Batik Air for the Kuala Lumpur – Jeddah – Kuala Lumpur was held. Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture YB Tuan Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan led it.
The following individuals are also present: YB Datuk Haji Hasbi Hasbibollah, Deputy Minister of Transport; YB Datuk Khairul Firdaus Akhbar Khan, deputy minister of Tourism Art and Culture; YBhg. Professor Datuk Azlie Halim, Deputy President of the Malaysian International Tourism Development Association (MITDA); YBrs. Captain Mushafiz Mustafa Bakri, Chief Executive Officer of Batik Air; YBrs. Mr. Monaharan Periasamy, Senior Director of Tourism Malaysia; YBhg. Datuk Chandran Rama Murthy, group director of Batik Air; YBrs. Mr. Kandasamy Eagambaram, group managing director; YBrs. Mrs Shazlin Ahmad, Country Manager of Southeast Asia Saudi Tourism Authority; Ybrs. Mr. Mohd Azri Mohamad, Director of Kirim Bersatu and Tuan Haji Mohamad Azli Sehak, Director of D Nexus Holidays.
The ceremony was held as a sign of understanding and strong cooperation between the ministry and companies involved mainly in the Umrah industry. Until March 2023, a total of 300,000 Umrah from Malaysia have departed and the number is expected to increase.
MOTAC also welcomes efforts to bring tourists from Saudi Arabia to Malaysia, especially when halal tourism is gaining popularity globally.
At the government level, MOTAC always ensures that the sector is advanced and competitive in meeting the demand patterns of domestic and international tourists. MOTAC also always helps and cooperates to provide the best service to Malaysian Umrah pilgrims.
