A Tribute to Faizal Tahir: Tunnel of Time, Music, and Life “Aku Faizal Tahir Live In Kuala Lumpur”
Faizal Tahir has accomplished a lot since entering the local music industry with more than simply the desire to become well-known as a vocalist. He has won awards for singing, but he is also a remarkable artist who has advanced the Malaysian entertainment sector. He is also a composer and writer.
As a fitting tribute to his successes, Allianz Malaysia Berhad presented the grand concert “Aku Faizal Tahir Live In Kuala Lumpur” on 2 September 2023 at Dewan Merdeka, World Trade Centre.
The concert featured the Best Rock Album and Best New Artist winner of the 15th Malaysian Music Industry Awards in 2008, performing his own repertoire of songs.
Through “Aku Faizal Tahir Live In Kuala Lumpur”, this Kuala Lumpur-born artist shared his tumultuous 17-year journey in the music industry.
The concert took the audience on a journey through time, not only quenching their thirst for Faizal’s songs, but also allowing them to experience the 17-year artistic journey of Faizal himself.
The music entertainment organiser JioBuddy put together the concert, which is deemed important because it was not just about music, but also the storytelling of the journey undertaken by Faizal Tahir to come to this point.
“After reaching an agreement with Faizal that ‘Aku Faizal Tahir Live In Kuala Lumpur’ is not just entertainment without benefit, we believe that a great concert or performance like this should be showcased to the fans and the public,” said Sean Ng, an organiser from JioBuddy.
“Aku Faizal Tahir Live In Kuala Lumpur” was supported by collaborating partners such as Altus Prohouse, Faithful Records, JioSpace, World Trade Centre, Level Up, and YCG.
For Faizal, aged 44, the objective of the concert was not merely to be seen by his fans as a popular and adored singer, but also to show how the world of art has shaped his life for the better through the experiences he had gone through.
“Aku Faizal Tahir Live In Kuala Lumpur” depicted Faizal’s journey of life, from the responsibilities of a singer to being a Muslim, from being an artist to being a father.
“This is a storytelling of a 17-year journey of life and career, dedicated to those who have supported and been with me throughout this journey,” said Faizal.
Fans were entertained by Faizal’s powerful vocals singing songs like “Mahakarya Cinta”, “Bencinta” and “Assalamualaikum”, which have become personal anthems for his fans, including hits from Faizal’s albums like “Aku.Muzik.Kamu”, “Adrenalin” and “Faizal Tahir”.
As a token of gratitude to everyone who has supported Faizal’s career, Faizal also recorded a new version of the song “Sampai Syurga” as a precious gift or moment to be enjoyed during the concert.
“It is my hope that the re-recorded version of ‘Sampai Syurga’ evokes and brings back memories for the fans, enriching their overall concert experience,” added Faizal.
