To our global association leaders, I am delighted to note that there are 11 international associations supporting MIM @ MBEW – thank you for joining us onsite or online. I have no doubt that business events planners know that incorporating a destination’s culture into their agenda helps foster attendee engagement. Combining this with a sustainability or inclusive focus takes it one step further. After all Malaysia has been granted a seat in the UNESCO which focuses on education, scientific, culture which can link to business events”.

Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani Daud, CEO of MyCEB, “MyCEB’s vision to be one of the world’s preferred international business events destinations and our mission to deliver a viable portfolio of international business events to attract business events delegates to Malaysia while enhancing the country’s profile on a global scale. This year’s MBEW aims to be the platform to drive all these. The most impactful sustainable business events advance the cause with creative ways, going beyond the traditional to integrate new opportunities designed to engage attendees, benefit and “give back” to host communities. Ultimately, being involved will help improve the products and experiences we promote to the market. This does not mean diverting from MyCEB’s role to sell and market the destination but evolving to a broader mandate”.

Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Cooperation by Malaysia and Indonesia of the Meet in Malaysia @ Malaysia Business Events Week 2022 held at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia’s corporate events industry is forecast to develop rapidly. While dominating this industry is fundamentally important for influential and substantial economic aspects, Malaysia is on the rise to make game-changing movements as the main centre for business event activities. This event plays a major part in impeding the growth of the business events sector by bringing together industry movers and shakers to learn about the newest trends that lead to stunning quantifiable outcomes. It is hoped that via gatherings like these, the floodgates of opportunity would be opened, allowing the nations’ progress in the corporate events market to blossom.

In order to portray a prime example, sustainability is deeply ingrained in our operations which is also a major component for this year’s MIM @ MBEW. The reason why we are organising this initiative in conjunction with Meet in Malaysia @ Malaysia Business Events Week 2022 is to stay mindful in contributing back to the community and by doing so, we hope that the industry and stakeholders will also follow suit through the power of collaboration”, says Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani Daud, CEO of MyCEB.

Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani Daud, CEO of MyCEB continues, “I would like to once again commend the business events industry key players for your tremendous support and effort in lending your hand and volunteering today. The nature of business events is about bringing in international delegates to our shore, which will in return benefit the country economically. Along with it comes various platforms of opportunity to integrate movements that benefit the local organisations and society. Here at MyCEB, we strongly believe that we must put equal emphasis to the thing that really matters the most, uplifting Malaysia’s status as the leading business events hub alongside environmental and social well-being. The ‘Lend a Hand’ CSR initiative carried out at Zoo Negara Malaysia is our way of initiating a small act of contribution with the aim of leaving behind a larger and everlasting impact of a better tomorrow.
