Saya rasa seolah-olah berada di dalam kereta adalah satu-satunya tempat yang saya anggap zon selamat dan selesa buat diri sendiri. Malah pada saat itu, walaupun sudah penat bekerja seharian saya mengalami masalah untuk tidur,” jelas Alvin tentang karya terbaharu ini.

Namun, Alvin yakin semua orang pasti pernah melalui situasi seperti ini sehingga rasa sangat sulit untuk meneruskan kehidupan.

“Tetapi saya percaya selepas hujan pasti ada pelangi, sesudah malam yang gelap tentu ada pagi yang terang. Seusai detik-detik hitam pasti ada saat indah yang menjelma,” kata Alvin lagi.

Lagu yang ditulis bersama kumpulan komposer terkenal MFMF ini mengambil masa dua hari untuk dizahirkan.

“Kami mulanya berborak panjang sekitar dua jam untuk mendapatkan idea utama lagu ini. Setelah menjelaskan ia berkisar perasaan saya, kami kemudian memikirkan lirik dan bunyi yang sesuai. Sungguhpun ia bernuansa sedih dan sendu saya tidak mahu ia menjadi balada suram. Saya mahu ia menjadi lagu yang lebih rancak biarpun lirik sedikit bertentangan.

MFMF setuju dengan idea itu dan berjaya memberikan apa yang saya mahu. Ia mudah untuk dinikmati dan boleh didengar secara santai,” ujar Alvin tentang karya ini

Lebih menarik, proses rakaman lagu ini berjalan dengan sangat mudah.

“Sewaktu hendak merakam lagu ini, saya diberitahu kami perlu merakamkan vokal terdahulu untuk demo sahaja. Biasanya demo akan diserahkan kepada pihak syarikat rakaman untuk mendapat kelulusan dan kemudian barulah kita rakam lagu yang sebenar.

Walau bagaimanapun pihak MFMF memberitahu kami tidak perlu merakam semula kerana vokal yang sudah dimasukkan sewaktu nyanyian demo rupa-rupanya sudah cukup bagus. Saya terkejut namun sangat gembira. Malah menurut para penerbit, ramai penyanyi kedengaran lebih tenang dan semula jadi sewaktu merakam demo berbanding sewaktu rakaman sebenar.

Ini kerana mereka rasa tiada tekanan sewaktu merakam demo sahaja. Itulah yang terjadi pada saya kerana saya memang sedikit gementar saat rakaman sebenar,” seloroh Alvin tentang proses rakaman lagu.

Alvin turut menyatakan bahawa dia sangat gembira bekerjasama dengan MFMF.

“Mudah bekerja dengan mereka. Mereka dengar pendapat saya dan memahami kehendak saya sebagai artis.

Saya pernah bekerja dengan penerbit serta komposer yang lebih senior dan lama dalam industri. Mereka ini biasanya kurang mahu mendengar pendapat artis baharu kerana rasa mereka lebih tahu apa yang sesuai untuk kami.

Oleh kerana itu saya senang bekerja dengan MFMF kerana mereka lebih terbuka dengan cadangan dan idea saya,” bingkasnya lagi.

Lagu ini juga menampilkan sebuah video muzik menarik yang menjalani penggambaran di Klang.

“Pada mulanya, video muzik ini mengambil masa dua hari untuk disiapkan. Namun dua minggu kemudian kami mengambil keputusan untuk menambah satu lagi babak dengan kumpulan kugiran yang memainkan muzik iringan.

Ini untuk mengingatkan para peminat saya bahawa saya bukan sahaja seorang pelakon tapi sebenarnya bermula sebagai penyanyi juga,” tambah Alvin lagi.

“Namun ada beberapa cabaran untuk menghasilkan video ini. Yang pertama, cuaca yang sangat panas ditambah dengan aneka lapisan pakaian yang perlu saya kenakan pada hari tersebut. Kedua, kami terpaksa tunggu saat jalanan kosong tanpa kereta untuk mendapat tangkapan terbaik,” ujarnya.

Saat ditanya apakah harapan Alvin untuk lagu ini, dia memberikan jawapan yang sangat mudah namun berkesan.

“Saya harap sesiapa yang mendengar lagu ini akan terus percaya bahawa sentiasa ada harapan dalam kehidupan. Janganlah putus asa kerena proses pendewasaan memang tidak mudah. Semuanya mampu diselesaikan kerana Tuhan tidak akan membebani seseorang dengan sesuatu yang tidak dapat diatasi. Terus yakin dan percaya sambil memberikan yang terbaik dalam hidup seharian. Jangan sesekali berputus asa!” kata Alvin menutup bicara.

More than 350,000 people are expected to visit the Puteri Harbour districts in Johor over the course of two days on December 9 and 10 (Friday and Saturday) from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. for the last stage of Karnival Jom Heboh (KJH), the largest outdoor festival in Malaysia.

Malaysia’s longest outdoor carnival KJH presented by DuitNow proves its popularity with a very encouraging response from visitors despite the rainy weather.

The lineup of well-known local actors from TV3 and TV9 dramas were the biggest hit with thousands of visitors who got the chance to interact and take pictures with their favorite artists in addition to participating in other activities at the Drama Sangat booth. After years of experimenting with songs, space, and many instruments from various eras and nations, MonoloQue decides to return to the fundamentals of music, which are melodies and tunes. marking what they refer to as their “new sound.” They reveal the “new” monoloQue, which differs from what they have been making and creating all these turbulent years.

The latest upcoming monoloQue song, “Lagu Cinta,” is something so straightforward, innocent, yet profound and meaningful. The overall style of the band’s impending new album is hinted at in this song. The worth of love in life is the subject of the song. Love becomes the source of resiliency during difficult circumstances. Love brightens it more on brighter days.

This circumstance is reflected in the song through its compositions and structure as well as by the lyrics that it uses to convey it. “The minor keys represent the gloom, sorrow, and unrest.” The major keys start to come in during the bridge, though, and the song starts to express the opposite emotional state. A softer, warmer sensation,’ claims LoQue. This immediately invokes the idea of balance in life. There’s always hope at the end of the road.

Lagu Cinta also brings a symbolic meaning. It is an homage by LoQue for his deceased sibling who got into an accident almost two decades ago. LoQue came to the realisation that death is, in fact, unavoidable and a natural part of life as a result of this loss. Death, however, also remains a mystery and a matter of the unknown. LoQue declares, “I hope this music can cross dimensions.” None really bears the knowledge of what is life after death. But to have faith, is a powerful thing. LoQue stands by the thought that the verses of this song will reach to where his sibling rests, and at once giving the impression that the song romanticises death in a way it also brings a message of hope and resilience.

As compared to monoloQue’s previous songs and albums, Lagu Cinta is much more direct and simple. Its melodious nature marks its distinction from the band’s whole discography especially their second album Jangan Puja Sampai Kecewa.

The compositions and lyrics are from LoQue, produced in the great Makmal Kampung Batu itself, the very studio that weaves the sounds of monoloQue. Supervised by the ever-meticulous Ammar “Lautan”, Parameswara, Lut and LoQue himself. Alongside them, the technicians Eri Ambia, Pengiran PG, Mujahid, and Lut. Clinched and mastered by LoQue and Felix Voon.

Lagu Cinta will be out on all digital streaming platforms on the 16th of December 2022.

About monoloQue

MonoloQue as a band was established in 2009 by Butterfingers guitarist Khairil Ridzwan Anuar or Loque. At the beginning of the establishment, MonoloQue consisted of Loque, Kadax, Loko, Ijoo (Gagak Itam), and Adam (Senyap). A change in band members took place in 2011 where Adam was replaced by Apex. In 2014, Loko left and was replaced by Bakri Ismail. The music performed by MonoloQue is an experimental genre embroidered with poetic lyrics.

After more than 1 decade of playing and changing temporary members, this post-pandemic witnesses monoloQue reborn with a “Bunyi Baru” or new sound. Kuala Lumpur, 5 December 2022 – Rentak Bumi 2.0 – an elegant and stylish display of contemporary, traditional, and modern dances by three of Malaysia’s prominent dance companies, Dua Space Dance Theatre, Sutra Foundation, and DiDance – is set to be performed by some of the country’s best dancers this December 16 – 18 at the iconic Panggung Bandaraya KL.

Virtually ideated and first performed last year during the several Covid lockdowns, the piece featured six virtual dance presentations under the title Rentak Bumi. These online presentations were created by Artistic Directors, Anthony Meh & Aman Yap (Dua Space), Datuk Ramli Ibrahim (Sutra Foundation) and Zaridah Abdul Mallik (DiDance) as part of ArtsFAS, an initiative under Yayasan Hasanah.

The online efforts succeeded in bringing, national and international awareness to the rich diversity of Malaysian dance during the challenging pandemic period. Under the continual support of ArtsFAS 2022, the dance companies will once again synergise their efforts in transforming these dance videos into a compelling live performance, this time to be called Rentak Bumi 2.0. 

According to Aman Yap of Dua Space, “At Dua Space, we are extremely excited to readapt the dance videos into a live performance in Rentak Bumi 2.0 as I believe nothing can beat the charm of performing in front of a live audience to be witnessed by not just our supporters and fans, but art enthusiasts in general, and of course those that has always been curious about the magical world of dance. Rentak Bumi is a production that celebrates our friendship with Sutra Foundation and DiDance that was developed through these years of being involved in the Malaysian creative scene. We are truly honoured to be able to collaborate with these respected dance companies and together we promise you a memorable show that showcases the splendour and magnificence of our culture”.

There will also be a special lecture-demonstration entitled – ‘Behind the Making of Rentak Bumi’ – in an effort to connect with performing arts students and those interested. This special lecture-demonstration conducted by the three artistic directors offers insight into the collaborative creative efforts of the dance companies, and the narrative behind the online staging of Rentak Bumi that led to Rentak Bumi 2.0.  The lecture-demonstration session is scheduled at 6 pm just prior to the last performance on 18 December 2022.

With courses on exhibition management and venue management, Malaysia’s new UCP training programme will be developed with and delivered by industry experts from Malaysia and beyond.

The agreement was signed by MyCEB Chief Operating Officer Noor Ahmad Hamid and UFI Managing Director & CEO Kai Hattendorf at the 89th UFI Global Congress in Muscat, Oman.

PJ Folklore 2022 anjuran Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ) yang berlangsung dari 28 November hingga 4 Disember 2022 ini mengetengah kebudayaan dari dalam dan luar negara untuk mendokong peranan Petaling Jaya sebagai sebuah kota seni.

Di sebalik hujan yang kerap turun di sekitar Petaling Jaya, ia berjaya menarik penyertaan peserta dan pengunjung seramai 30,000 orang. PJ Folklore 2022 juga merupakan usaha sama antara MBPJ dengan Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia (MOTAC – kini tiada lagi), International Council of Organization of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts/CIOFF Malaysia), Tourism Selangor, dan Suria FM.

PJ Folklore 2022 merupakan antara usaha bagi mempromosikan bandar raya Petaling sebagai sebuah Kota Seni, dan destinasi pelancongan antarabangsa, selain menghidupkan kawasan Seksyen 52.

Ia juga selaras dengan pelaksanaan Petaling Jaya Smart, Sustainable and Resilient (PJSSR2030), dan merupakan salah satu agenda menjadikan Petaling Jaya sebagai bandar raya mampan.

Program lain termasuklah PJ Fight Night, Pocket Show – melibatkan dua pusat beli-belah, iaitu One Utama Shopping Centre dan Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre, Asian Food Festival, pameran busana dan pelbagai jualan, persembahan Wayang Kulit (Pok Chu), Dikir Barat (Issey), dan persembahan kebudayaan antarabangsa.

Dengan bantuan Persatuan Pekerja Malaysia, Biro Pelancongan Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, bahagian Jabatan Kebudayaan, Kesenian, Pelancongan, dan Sukan Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, mengambil inisiatif untuk menganjurkan Festival Jazz Sungai KL 2022, yang telah diadakan di lokasi River of Life pada 26 dan 27 November 2022 bermula jam 3 petang hingga 12 malam.

Ianya membariskan para artis dan penggiat Jazz terkenal dalam dan luar Negara dan pastinya menjadi acara yang hebat dan mempunyai prestijnya yang tersendiri.

Menurut Khairul Azmir bin Ahmad, Pengarah Jabatan Kebudayaan, Kesenian, Pelancongan Dan Sukan Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur penganjuran festival ini adalah didasari oleh beberapa perkara , dan yang utamanaya bagi mengaktifkan kembali aktiviti persembahan yang melibatkan artis dalam nuansa Jazz tempatan.

“ Kami sedar para pemuzik dan artis sememangnya telah bercuti panjang sepanjang era pendemik , dan ini merupakan ikhtiar DBKL untuk menyokong penggiat Jazz tempatan pula . Sebelum ini juga DBKL telah mengadakan pelbagai persembahan dalam pelbagai genre seperti Pop Yeh Yeh , Rock , Tradisional dan lain-lain.

Objektif keduanya pula ialah sebagai medium promosi pelancongan Kuala Lumpur , dimana lokasi pentas yang dipilih iaitu Guiding Gallery , River of Life yang terletak berhampiran Jalan Mahkamah Persekutuan merupakan lokasi ikonik Kuala Lumpur. Para penonton bakal menikmati persembahan berlatar belakang pemandangan indah titik penumpuan antara dua (2) sungai: Sungai Klang dan Sungai Gombak.

The most renowned hip hop talent show in Asia, 16 Baris, makes a triumphant return after great anticipation and enthusiasm. The show promises additional jewels like it did in the previous seasons, revealing some of the region’s freshest young hip-hop talent.

Still bearing the same format as it did before, the show this time hails Shahrin Bahar as the director, who brings forth the same energy he did through his past masterpieces such as the music videos of Ciao, Veto and most recently Swipe.

According to the show’s mastermind, Malaysian hip hop connoisseur Joe Flizzow, this season features more local hip hop beats that were submitted by some of the show’s contesting producers.

Dalam ucapan alu-aluan Dato Paduka Dr. Kevy KV Yeo, fokus malam ini adalah pada industri elit yang memimpini organisasi mereka dengan pintar dan cekap. Para elit ini memiliki kepercayaan bahawa seseorang perlu cekap menguruskan diri sendiri sebelum boleh mempengaruhi orang lain. Ini menunjukkan bagaimana elit-elit ini berkeupayaan untuk mencapai kejayaan dalam bidang sendiri dan menjadi contoh untuk orang lain.

“Dengan menggunakan kekuatan seseorang untuk mencapai kemenangan bersama adalah satu cara lain untuk menunjukkan maksud kekuatan sumber berkongsi dalam satu organisasi. Oleh itu, kami berharap untuk menyatukan sumber kami dan mencipta nilai, dan mengumpulkan kekuatan perusahaan dari setiap organisasi. Beliau percaya, melalui pentadbiran pihak kerajaan dari MOHR dan pihak-pihak berkaitan, “Tokoh Pintar Terbaik 2022” akan membantu para pengguna memilih perusahaan yang berkualiti dan boleh dipercayai. Pada masa yang sama, ia akan membantu negara kita memupuk bakat yang tinggi dan juga merangsang perkembangan ekonomi Malaysia.
