Auto Maintenance & Repair Expo 2025 Drives the Future of Aftermarket Innovation

AMR 2025 Closes with Resounding Success, Sets the Pace for a Greener, Smarter Auto Aftermarket

The Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo (AMR) 2025 wrapped up on 2 April at the Capital International Exhibition & Convention Center (CIECC), Beijing, after three impactful days that brought together global players across the automotive aftermarket. Returning to the capital with strong momentum, the show proved once again why it is one of Asia’s most influential platforms for innovation, knowledge exchange, and business growth in the evolving auto maintenance landscape.

This year’s edition came at a pivotal time as the industry accelerates towards intelligence, electrification, and sustainability. With 1,186 exhibitors (up 12%), 48,661 visits from 57 countries and regions, and a packed schedule of fringe activities, AMR 2025 raised the bar—both in size and substance.

A Global Showcase of Emerging Trends and Green Innovation

Spanning 80,000 sqm, AMR 2025 highlighted an end-to-end view of the automotive aftermarket: from smart diagnostics, repair equipment, and eco-friendly spray-painting systems to parts and components tailored for electric vehicles and sustainable workshops.

Exhibitors like Shenzhen MAXLINK Technology Co Ltd leveraged the show’s influence to debut SATA’s next-gen spray-painting solutions, aimed at meeting China’s rising environmental standards. “We hit our targets and expanded our network,” said Sales General Manager Sven Zhan. “Smart, green solutions were in high demand across the board.”

New energy vehicles (NEVs) were a major theme, with equipment makers like Shanghai Balance Automotive Equipment Co Ltd showcasing AI-integrated inflators, car wash systems, and advanced tyre changers. “Buyers were excited about our intelligent repair tools, which align with rapidly changing markets from China to Europe and the Middle East,” said Product Manager Qingkun Fan.

Auto Parts and Components: From Visibility to Viability

The parts and components sector saw significant traction, with exhibitors such as Zhejiang Fengriling Filters Manufacture Co Ltd and Yuhuan Jinli Auto Parts Co Ltd praising the show for boosting international trade ties. “We held serious talks with buyers from multiple regions, and AMR helped elevate our brand,” said Sales Manager Stacy Zhang.

Dedicated Zones Amplify Industry Collaboration and Talent Growth

AMR 2025 introduced three new specialised zones to foster deeper industry collaboration in green repair, vocational training, and road safety. The Green Repair & New Energy zone featured forums and live demos focused on NEV repair tools and practices, attracting high interest from technicians and buyers alike.

In the Industry and Education Integration zone, over 20 vocational institutions participated in skill competitions and training partnerships. “Our collaboration with AMR has grown over three years. This year’s events showcased not just talent, but how education is syncing with industry demands,” said Ms Zhiqing Miao of the China Automotive Maintenance Equipment Industry Association.

Meanwhile, the Road Transportation Equipment zone debuted driving simulators and electric transport solutions, highlighting how technology is reshaping safety and logistics. “Visitors were highly engaged with our simulations. It’s clear that demand for intelligent transport training is growing fast,” said Qingli Qian of Anhui Sanlian Applied Traffic Technology Co Ltd.

Buyers and Brands Align Across Borders

From ASEAN to Europe, AMR attracted international buyers looking to stay ahead of the curve. Vincent Kunst of Alliance Automotive Group (Netherlands) noted: “China is leading the EV shift. AMR gave us direct insight into what’s next and how we can adapt.”

Locally, associations like Tianjin Auto Parts Manufacturing Industry Association led delegations to explore materials, automation, and lightweight design. “For our members, AMR is a gateway to fresh ideas and vital business connections,” said Ms Yuting Ma.

39 Forums Unpack Industry’s Next Moves

The event hosted 39 fringe programmes, drawing experts and audiences eager to explore auto aftermarket transformation. Highlights included the flagship Automotive Aftermarket Conference—co-organised by Magic Cube—which brought in 1,000 participants and thought leaders from Amazon, eBay, Roland Berger and Tencent’s Yiche Research Institute.

“From parts supply chains to global partnerships, the discussions were rich and actionable,” said David Dai, Founder of Magic Cube.

Other notable forums included the Jing-Jin-Ji Commercial Vehicle Repair Forum and the Motor Vehicle Inspection and Pollution Prevention Conference, which delved into smarter repair strategies and evolving environmental regulations.

Looking Ahead: The Road Continues in 2026

As AMR 2025 closes its doors, it leaves behind a revitalised industry brimming with energy, ideas, and connections. “This was my first time here, and I’ve gained clarity on the latest tools, government policies, and market direction,” said Yulou Zhang of Nanjing Motor Vehicle Comprehensive Performance Testing Center.

For Shomari Omar of Tanzania’s Ministry of Transport, the show provided meaningful Belt and Road insights. “Strengthening China-Africa ties through the aftermarket is key. AMR gave us a vision of how to build this bridge.”

Jointly organised by China Automotive Maintenance Equipment Industry Association (CAMEIA), China Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (CAMRA), Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd and Sinomachint, AMR continues to stand at the crossroads of innovation and industry needs.

The next edition of AMR is set to return in spring 2026. For updates and enquiries, visit www.amr-china.cn or contact amr@china.messefrankfurt.com.
