Flavours of Yesteryear: Parkview Café Launches Nostalgic Tiffin Dining Experience
Malaysian food is more than a source of nourishment. It is a way of telling stories, preserving culture and building bonds. This is the heart of Tiffin Tales, a special dining experience by Parkview Café at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, available daily until 30 June 2025.
Tiffin Tales is built around the tiffin carrier, a traditional lunchbox that once served as the centerpiece of many family meals. Today, Parkview Café reintroduces this meaningful icon by presenting a menu of Malay and Nyonya dishes in its familiar stacked form. Each set, designed for two, changes weekly to ensure diners can enjoy something new with each visit.
Among the dishes featured are Nyonya Pai Tee, Chicken Curry Kapitan, Rendang Daging Nyonya, Nyonya Asam Udang, Nasi Bunga Telang, Sambal Udang Petai, Nasi Bawang Putih and Sago Gula Melaka. These dishes are carefully selected to reflect the flavours that have been loved by generations.
Chef Hisham Jaafar, Executive Chef at the Centre, drew inspiration from the tradition of sharing meals from a tiffin. He explained that the joy of discovering a different dish in every layer is something many Malaysians remember fondly. Through Tiffin Tales, he hopes to bring that memory to life once again.
Priced at RM90 nett, this experience offers not only a taste of heritage but also a visual feast. Located on the first floor of the Centre, Parkview Café offers panoramic views of the Petronas Twin Towers, adding a sense of elegance to a meal rooted in simplicity and tradition.
Guests are encouraged to capture and share their experience using the hashtag #TiffinTales while tagging @pvc.klcc on Instagram or @parkview café on Facebook.
