Epson Named ASEAN’s Leading Printer Brand by IDC

SUBANG JAYA, 29 September 2026 — Epson, a global leader in professional printing, has strengthened its position across Southeast Asia after being recognised by International Data Corporation (IDC) as the leading brand in the Large Format Printer, Graphic Textile, Photo Graphic and Signage categories across ASEAN for calendar year 2025 (CY2025). The recognition reflects Epson’s strong presence across key professional printing segments and its continued focus on developing high-performance solutions to meet the evolving needs of businesses across the region.
In the Large Format Printing category, Epson recorded a 21.1% market share across ASEAN in CY2025, up from 19.2% in the previous year. Its large-format printing solutions, particularly those designed for Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and graphic applications, continue to gain recognition for their precision and high-quality output. Epson also recorded strong market shares in several key markets, including Thailand at 28.3%, the Philippines at 26.9% and Indonesia at 23.2%. In Singapore and Malaysia, Epson held market shares of 32.8% and 16.8%, respectively.
Epson also maintained its leading position in the Graphic Textile category, achieving a 45.6% market share across the ASEAN region, compared with 43% in CY2024. The company continues to respond to the evolving demands of digital textile printing through innovations such as the high-performance SureColor F9530. Beyond product development, Epson has also strengthened industry knowledge-sharing through key events and research initiatives. Its participation at ITMA 2025 in Singapore and the launch of the Digital Textile Printing Trends in Southeast Asia whitepaper are among its efforts to support greater understanding of developments within the textile printing industry. Epson recorded a 60% market share in Singapore, alongside strong positions in Indonesia at 59.1%, the Philippines at 54.6% and Thailand at 25.3%.
In the Photo Graphic (Aqueous Ink) category, Epson retained its number one position across ASEAN with a 22.3% market share. The company also held leading positions in Singapore at 56.8%, Indonesia at 32.2%, Thailand at 27.9% and Malaysia at 23.6%. Products such as the SureColor P9530 and SureColor P6530E have contributed to Epson’s position in the professional photo printing segment, with its aqueous ink technology designed to deliver detailed images and vivid colours for a wide range of professional applications.
Meanwhile, Epson continued to strengthen its position in the Signage category, increasing its ASEAN market share from 10.5% in CY2024 to 11.1% in CY2025. Its Eco Solvent, Latex and Solvent ink technologies are designed to address the growing demand for high-quality, high-volume output within the signage industry. During CY2025, Epson introduced three new signage printers — the SureColor S7130, S8130 and S9130 — supporting customers seeking improved performance and upgrading their existing printing equipment.
Epson also recorded market share growth in several key signage markets. In Singapore, its market share rose to 54.5%, while Thailand recorded 37.5% and Malaysia 22%. According to Epson, the growth was partly driven by the introduction of its new S Series, which encouraged customers to upgrade or convert to solutions offering enhanced performance.
Alvin Tan, Managing Director of Epson Malaysia, said the recognition from IDC reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and the delivery of high-quality printing solutions across ASEAN. He added that Epson will continue to focus on developing reliable and advanced technologies that address the evolving requirements of businesses throughout the region.
Overall, Epson’s performance in CY2025 highlights its continued presence across multiple professional printing segments in ASEAN, spanning large-format, textile, photo graphic and signage applications. Through continued product innovation and industry engagement, the company remains focused on providing printing solutions that support the changing needs of businesses across Southeast Asia.
