KUALA LUMPUR, 16 July 2026 – Malaysia’s food and beverage (F&B) industry is taking a significant step towards future-proofing the sector as the Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB) 2026 returns for its milestone 25th edition. Held from 15 to 17 July at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the event brings together industry leaders, manufacturers, buyers, investors and innovators from across the region to discuss the future of food security, supply chain resilience and commercial innovation. Under the theme “Future-Ready F&B: Powering the Next Wave,” MIFB 2026 reinforces Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for business networking and cross-border trade collaboration.

The exhibition was officially opened by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Y.B. Datuk Chan Foong Hin, who highlighted the importance of strengthening the food ecosystem amid evolving global supply chain challenges. As consumer expectations continue to shift towards sustainability, quality and innovation, the event provides a strategic platform for businesses to exchange ideas, establish partnerships and explore new opportunities that will shape Southeast Asia’s next phase of F&B development.

A major attraction at this year’s exhibition is the MIFB Knowledge Hub, which features an extensive programme of industry discussions led by experts from leading organisations such as Tetra Pak, StoreHub, Subway, Toastmaker, HEXA IOT, PurelyB and the World Halalpreneur Council. Covering topics including artificial intelligence, automation, business scaling, export readiness and data-driven decision-making, the sessions are designed to equip businesses of all sizes with practical strategies to improve operational efficiency and accelerate growth. Celebrity Chef Alan Coxon also shares valuable insights on building sustainable F&B brands that can thrive over the long term.

MIFB 2026 also celebrates excellence within the industry through the Malaysia National Coffee Championship (MNCC), organised in collaboration with the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association (MSCA). The championship shines a spotlight on Malaysia’s growing reputation in the global specialty coffee scene, following the achievements of 2026 World Brewers Cup Champion Nas Jaafar and World Latte Art Championship first runner-up Jacky Chang. Their accomplishments reflect the country’s rising talent and reinforce Malaysia’s standing as an emerging force in the international coffee industry.

International participation remains one of the event’s strongest attractions, with country pavilions from China, India, Poland, South Korea, Türkiye, Thailand and several other nations showcasing innovative food products, technologies and sourcing opportunities. Their presence strengthens Malaysia’s role as a gateway for regional food trade while enabling buyers to establish new supplier relationships and explore global market trends under one roof.

Complementing the exhibition are several business-focused initiatives including MIFB ChefTable, which features culinary demonstrations by Team PCS Culinary Malaysia using products from exhibitors, MIFB Connect, an exclusive business matching platform linking exhibitors with qualified buyers from retail and HoReCa sectors, and MIFB Launchpad, where promising startups pitch innovative food solutions to potential investors. Together, these programmes reinforce MIFB’s role as more than just a trade exhibition, positioning it as a catalyst for innovation, collaboration and sustainable growth across Malaysia’s rapidly evolving food and beverage industry.
