  • Award Ceremony for the Top 500 Consumer Certification Trusty Brands

    The Top 500 Consumer Certification Trusty Brand Award presentation ceremony organized by the Majlis Tindakan Pengguna Negara (MTPN) was held at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 14 July 2024. The event was officiated by Mr. Abu Bakar bin Yusof, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of MATRADE.

    The MTPN has selected 34 companies from various industries as winners at the event through a rigorous and transparent process of assessment and auditing.

    The awards ceremony is an important event highlighting the achievements of selected brands. MTPN selects these brands through a rigorous assessment and audit process to ensure their reliability and quality. This recognition helps the company gain consumer trust and national recognition.

    This prestigious program can encourage business excellence in Malaysia and identify and educate entrepreneurs on the importance of maintaining ethical business practices. The Consumer Choice Award also helps local businesses achieve special recognition as the consumer’s standard choice.

    The Consumer Top 500 Certification Award is an initiative by the Majlis Tindakan Pengguna Negara (MTPN) in Malaysia. This award recognizes companies that provide excellent and trustworthy services to consumers. It aims to promote business excellence and ethical practices among companies in Malaysia.

    By using this occasion, the National Consumer Action Council would like to congratulate all of the award-winning companies and hope that they would keep up their good work and innovation in order to provide more high-quality services to Malaysian consumers in the future.

  • The 19th BOH Cameronian Arts Awards nominees are presented at Nero, PJPAC, by Kakiseni and BOH Plantations

    Excitement reignites as Malaysia’s arts industry prepares for a spectacular display of talent at the 19th edition of the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards (19BCAA)! Prepare to be swept away as we commemorate and honour the incredible achievements of our country’s performing artists who have captivated audiences and kept the arts spirit alive throughout the last year.

    As we ready ourselves to applaud our brilliant homegrown arts fraternity, let us revel in the magic they create, igniting hearts and minds with their boundless determination and creativity. The 19BCAA Nominations will be revealed at the Nero Event Space, Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre (PJPAC) in 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya on 18 March 2024.

    It is the culmination of shows judged over the last year, with 74 productions in dance, music, musical theatre and theatre submitted and judged by a formidable group of judges. There will be a total of 37 sub-categories including Best Actor/Performer in a Leading Role, Best Costume, Styling & Make-up, Production Values and more awards for performance, technical & creative talents.

    Jason Foo, CEO of BOH Plantations said, “The 19BCAA is special to BOH as it coincides with our 95th Anniversary. In retrospect, I see that there is much in common between perfecting the craftsmanship of tea and advancing the performing arts industry.

  • Tourism Industry Award 2024 Serves As Tribute of Excellence for High-Achievers in the Tourism Industry

    The Tourism Industry Award (TIA) will take place at the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur on July 26, 2024. The industry participants will receive more than 60 awards in recognition of their achievements and contributions to the growth of Malaysia’s tourist sector.

    According to Dato’ Emmy Suraya Hussein, Organising Chairman of TIA 2024 the awards  recognises and honours tourism industry players for outstanding and innovative products and services. It also acts as an incentive for participants to strive for the highest level of professionalism and quality in both products and services.

    “Tourism Industry Award is a tribute and highest accolade for individuals and organisations  whose outstanding contributions play a significant role in the success of tourism industry. I take this opportunity to invite everyone to submit their nominations of deserving individuals and organisations in the respective categories of the Tourism Industry Award 2024. I look forward to receiving a good response from the public as it is a way to acknowledge and recognize those who have worked hard to uphold the standards of tourism in this country,” she added.

    For the first time, this prestigious award is organize by Malaysia International Tourism Development Association (MITDA) and co-organize by MFMPA (Malaysia Fashion Modeling Pageant Association) and Santai Travel.

    Members of the Malaysia and international travel trade as well as the media are invited to submit their nominations for any of the award categories.
