Kuala Lumpur, 27 October 2026 — PropertyGuru and iProperty Malaysia have introduced Pay Per Post, a new flexible listing option that allows eligible property owners and agents to advertise individual properties for rent or sale on both platforms without committing to a full subscription. The initiative aims to provide a more accessible and convenient way for property listers to reach potential buyers and tenants, particularly those who only need to advertise occasionally.
The introduction of Pay Per Post comes amid strong demand for rental properties in Malaysia. Data from PropertyGuru and iProperty Malaysia revealed that approximately four in five enquiries received across both platforms in the 12 months leading up to September 2026 were related to rental listings. However, rental properties accounted for only around four in 10 listings on each platform during the same period, highlighting an opportunity to expand the availability of rental options for property seekers.
Recognising that property advertising needs vary among owners and agents, the new option provides greater flexibility for those looking to rent out or sell individual properties without paying for a full subscription package. Whether advertising a single residential unit or listing properties on an occasional basis, eligible users can access PropertyGuru and iProperty Malaysia’s property platforms to connect with prospective tenants and buyers.

Managing Director of PropertyGuru and iProperty Malaysia, Vic Sithasanan, said the strong interest in rental properties reflected the different needs of Malaysians, including those seeking to live closer to their workplaces, maintain greater flexibility or save towards purchasing a home. He added that Pay Per Post was designed to help property seekers discover more suitable rental options while giving owners and agents a practical way to advertise properties according to their individual needs.
The initiative also addresses ongoing concerns about housing affordability. According to PropertyGuru’s H1 2026 Consumer Sentiment Study, 81% of renters surveyed felt that rental prices were too high, while 51% had moved further away from city centres due to rental costs. The study further found that 89% of renters paid less than RM1,500 per month, underscoring the importance of providing accessible housing choices that align with different budgets and lifestyles.
Beyond expanding the number of available listings, PropertyGuru and iProperty Malaysia continue to emphasise the importance of clear property descriptions, accurate listing details and reliable information about property listers. These elements are essential in helping prospective tenants and buyers compare available options, assess their suitability and make more informed property decisions.

Pay Per Post is available from RM5 for eligible listings, with prices varying according to property type and location. The option is intended for property owners and agents who wish to advertise individual properties or list on an occasional basis. Meanwhile, professional agents who require regular advertising and broader support can continue to use the All-Access subscription, which offers a comprehensive solution for ongoing property visibility and advertising needs.
Through the introduction of Pay Per Post, PropertyGuru and iProperty Malaysia aim to provide greater flexibility across the property advertising landscape while supporting property owners, agents and seekers in navigating Malaysia’s evolving rental and property market.
