GITEX GLOBAL 2024: Huawei Showcases Industrial Digital Transformation Solutions

At GITEX GLOBAL 2024, Huawei, a Diamond Sponsor, is making waves with its groundbreaking industrial digital transformation solutions. With the theme “Accelerate Industrial Digitalization and Intelligence,” the event, running from October 14 to 18, sees Huawei showcasing a wide range of innovations designed to support digitalization efforts across industries like public utilities, finance, healthcare, transportation, and more.

On the first day of the exhibition Gitex Global 2024, Huawei hosted its Industrial Digital and Intelligent Transformation Summit, launching new joint solutions with partners aimed at ten major industries, including electric power, oil & gas, mining, retail, and education. These solutions, tailored to enhance digital and intelligent infrastructure, also feature a series of flagship products to help businesses fast-track their transformation efforts.

Huawei’s Corporate Senior Vice President and President of ICT Sales & Service, Li Peng, opened the summit by stressing Huawei’s focus on partnership and continuous innovation. “Our strength lies in combining networking, storage, computing, cloud, and energy,” said Li Peng. “We are working hand-in-hand with partners to build the foundation for new digital and intelligent infrastructure.”

Li noted that Huawei’s reference architecture for intelligent transformation, released last year, is already driving real-world results, with over 100 case studies illustrating how industries like government, finance, and manufacturing can achieve their transformation goals.

These efforts are built on Huawei’s partner ecosystem, which has expanded significantly. Huawei’s 14 OpenLabs worldwide now serve as hubs for joint innovation, collaborating with local solution providers to create tailored solutions. In the UAE alone, Huawei has partnered with over 30 companies to develop solutions that address local industry challenges.

During his keynote address, Leo Chen, Corporate Senior Vice President and President of Enterprise Sales at Huawei, highlighted how AI and 5G-A technologies are pivotal for driving the fourth industrial revolution, enhancing productivity and transforming industries. While these advancements offer immense opportunities, they also pose challenges related to infrastructure and talent ecosystems. Chen stressed Huawei’s commitment to helping industries overcome these hurdles through its full-stack capabilities in cloud, connectivity, computing, and storage.

As part of its efforts, Huawei has also published the “Amplifying Industrial Digitalization & Intelligence Practice White Paper,” which features over 100 success stories across 20 industries. The white paper serves as a roadmap for customers looking to embark on their own digital transformation journey.

In a keynote presentation, David Shi, Huawei’s Vice President of ICT Marketing and Solution Sales, underlined the importance of solid ICT infrastructure in enabling successful digital transformation. He introduced Huawei’s strategy to accelerate the adoption of ICT infrastructure, especially in campuses, wide area networks (WANs), and data centers, making digital tools more accessible to a broader range of industries.

The company has also launched several flagship products and portfolios, such as HUAWEI eKit products, which are designed to simplify the integration and use of ICT infrastructure for businesses. These tools allow more efficient business operations and enable faster digitalization.

During the summit, Huawei rolled out digital transformation solutions for various industries, including:

  • National Government Cloud Solution
  • ICT Talent Cultivation Solution
  • Medical Technology Digitalization Solution 2.0
  • Smart Retail Solution
  • Unstaffed Open-Pit Mine Solution
  • Intelligent Oil & Gas Field Solution

These solutions are part of Huawei’s strategy to accelerate the adoption of digital and intelligent infrastructure across industries, providing customers with the tools they need to address business challenges in the digital age.

Huawei’s “SHAPE” framework, introduced during the summit, outlines five key areas to help partners thrive in the intelligent era: sustaining leadership, joint innovation, partner capability development, cooperation experience, and growth opportunities. By working closely with partners, Huawei aims to create a thriving partner ecosystem that fosters innovation and growth.

Ernest Zhang, President of Global Partner and Commercial & Distribution for Enterprise Sales, explained Huawei’s partner-centric strategy, designed to support both SMEs and larger enterprises through streamlined processes, market-ready products, and a comprehensive training system.

“We work with our partners to foster a healthy business environment and help customers succeed in their digital transformation journeys,” Zhang said.

Huawei’s extensive exhibition space at GITEX GLOBAL 2024 covers over 1,400 square meters, showcasing a wide range of real-world applications of intelligent technologies across industries. Attendees can explore Huawei’s latest solutions, products, and use cases that demonstrate how digitalization and intelligence are shaping the future of various sectors globally.

In line with the company’s vision, Huawei’s showcase emphasizes sustainability, efficiency, and collaboration, underscoring the company’s commitment to helping industries across the world accelerate their digital and intelligent transformation journeys.
