Epson Redefines Affordable Printing with Its Next-Generation EcoTank Series
Epson has expanded its EcoTank printer portfolio with the introduction of eight new compact models, designed to provide faster, more efficient and cost-effective printing solutions for homes and small businesses. Building on the global success of more than 100 million EcoTank printers sold worldwide, the latest generation offers improved productivity, enhanced durability and a more compact design to meet the growing demand for reliable home-office and business printing across Southeast Asia.
The new EcoTank line-up includes the L1310, L3310, L3316, L3350, L3356 and L5390, with selected models featuring advanced capabilities such as mobile scanning and copying through the Epson Smart Panel app, as well as Apple AirPrint compatibility for seamless wireless printing. The L5390 further enhances workplace productivity with an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), making it easier to handle multi-page documents efficiently.
Designed for high-volume printing, the latest EcoTank printers deliver impressive page yields of up to 4,700 black-and-white pages and 7,500 colour pages using high-capacity 65ml ink bottles. Epson has also improved the refill system with colour-coded tank keys that help users refill ink easily while reducing spills and maintenance. The printers are engineered to print up to 50,000 pages under warranty and feature a replaceable Maintenance Box and Semi-Automatic Print Adjustment system to ensure consistent print quality over extended use.
The new series also introduces a sleeker and more compact design, with a footprint that is up to 20% smaller than previous models. Integrated ink tanks, an improved paper tray and enhanced paper support contribute to a cleaner workspace and smoother printing experience. Powered by Epson’s Heat-Free Technology, the printers consume less energy, making them a practical and environmentally responsible choice for both home users and businesses looking to reduce operating costs.
To support modern hybrid work environments, selected EcoTank models offer wireless connectivity through the Epson Smart Panel, allowing users to print, scan, monitor printer status and manage documents directly from their smartphones or tablets. Support for AirPrint and Mopria further enhances compatibility with a wide range of mobile devices, while USB connectivity remains available on selected models for users who prefer traditional wired printing.
According to Epson Malaysia Managing Director Alvin Tan, the new EcoTank series reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-performance printing solutions that help customers improve productivity while keeping operating costs low. The latest models combine speed, reliability, intuitive features and sustainability, making them suitable for businesses, entrepreneurs, students and families alike. Available in Malaysia from 1 July, the new EcoTank printers are backed by a five-year warranty, offering users greater confidence and long-term value.
