NCT Group of Companies has joined forces with RHB Bank Berhad and Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Berhad (SJPP) to support the continued growth and development of Malaysia’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The collaboration was carried out through a seminar series themed “Driving SME Growth with Tailored Financial Solutions & Government Guarantee Schemes”, bringing together industry players, financial institutions and government agencies to address the practical challenges faced by SMEs.

The initiative was designed to equip SME owners and business leaders with greater knowledge of financing options and government support available at different stages of business development. Among the areas covered were tailored financing facilities, government guarantee schemes, business expansion strategies, sustainability adoption and productivity enhancement, providing participants with practical insights to support stronger business planning and long-term growth.

The seminar series concluded on 19 August 2026 at Wisma FMM Penang, following its inaugural session on 21 July 2026 at Wisma FMM in Bandar Sri Damansara. Both sessions featured industry representatives including Fairuz Salleh, Head of Strategy & Stakeholder Management at SJPP; Kelvin Chin, Head of SME Business Development at RHB Bank Berhad; and Simon Chan, General Manager, Sales & Marketing at NCT Group of Companies.

Simon Chan said SMEs remain an important component of Malaysia’s economic resilience as the country continues to advance its industrial transformation agenda. He noted that creating a supportive business ecosystem is essential to helping SMEs overcome challenges as they expand, while collaboration between NCT Group, RHB Bank and SJPP allows the organisations to respond more effectively to the financing and development needs of businesses.

The seminars also went beyond financial solutions by introducing industrial development opportunities suited to the respective regions. The Kuala Lumpur session highlighted NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP), described as Malaysia’s first Managed Industrial Park within the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (IDRISS), offering SMEs opportunities to explore industrial growth and expansion within a strategically positioned ecosystem.

Meanwhile, the Penang session showcased NCT Innosphere (NIS) in Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah, which is positioned to support cross-border trade, logistics and advanced manufacturing activities within the Northern Corridor Economic Region. The introduction of these industrial developments provided participants with greater insight into potential locations and ecosystems that could support their business expansion plans.

The initiative also provided SME participants with opportunities to engage directly with representatives from NCT Group, RHB Bank and SJPP. Through these discussions, business owners were able to explore their specific financing requirements, understand available government-backed support and identify potential avenues for future expansion.

By bringing together property development, financial expertise and government-backed financing support, the collaboration reflects a broader effort to strengthen the ecosystem surrounding Malaysian SMEs. As businesses navigate an increasingly competitive environment, initiatives that provide access to financing, industrial infrastructure and strategic guidance can play an important role in helping SMEs build resilience, improve productivity and pursue sustainable long-term growth.
